Pre-Occupancy Controls for Indoor Air Quality
Protection of mechanical equipment and building materials during
construction will ensure healthy indoor air quality after occupancy.
- Protect stored on-site or installed absorptive materials from
moisture damage and mold, and replace all filtration media immediately
prior to occupancy. (LEED™)
- Install wet materials before dry in construction sequence to
reduce indoor air pollutants.
- Consider a two-week flush of systems at 100% outside air before
occupancy. (LEED™)
